When I used the Sony Alpha A7 III camera, I was thrilled by its fantastic combination of a compact body and a full-frame image sensor.
It was a long time ago when you could not hear so much and in such an efficient way about a camera just released to the market.
From one day to another, many photographers (some known in the networks) said they were pleased to obtain the new model of the Alpha family from Sony. Even coming to classify it as the best camera, even much better and faster than its older sister Sony A7RIII.
The Sony A7 III offers both and remains affordable. It sports better autofocus and a splendid performance which will leave you in awe. I already knew the Sony A7 series was phenomenal, but I had no idea that it would be so great.
With its latest camera model, the 24.2 megapixel A7 III, Sony has created a versatile camera that is almost perfect.
As one of the best mirrorless autofocus systems on the market, along with a crisp, full-frame 4K video system with high shooting speeds, this is a sporty camera that can offer excellent image quality.
The fantastic image quality that this camera provides trumps over all other cameras. This camera’s performance is the best that any money can buy, and the best thing is that you won’t have to spend much to get your hands on this excellent full-frame mirrorless camera.

Sony A7III Review
Sony α7 III <-Affiliate Link 🙂 is distinguished from other cameras due to its updated sensor design. It is an excellent camera that is suitable for capturing photos as well as recording videos.
The camera is built with a 24.2 megapixels sensor, which turns out to be excellent, with an impressive dynamic range. It has a five-axis stabilization and a sensitivity equivalent to around 5,100 ISO (or more software). It can also give excellent results at high ISOs, up to 6400, with little noise in the resulting images.
It is flexible and can be used in a variety of working situations. Sony has refined it to produce low-light performance and faster speed.
The pair of full-frame Exmor R BSI CMOS 24.2MP sensor and BIONZ X image processor enables an impressive and continuous ten fps shooting rate and enhanced autofocus performance.
However, there are two points where the A7 III excels uniquely, and it is in focus and firing speed.
In the first case, the camera has 693 phase-detection focus points. These are responsible for covering practically 93% of the image area, in addition to 425 contrast focus points as a compliment. In other words, this is a high-speed camera to focus on and can generally be considered the best focusing system among those known as mirrorless cameras.
The second feature to highlight is the shooting speed, which easily reaches ten images per second and provides enough memory to perform bursts of up to 89 images in a row.
This results in faster and reliable subject tracking together with a broader frame coverage.
Besides, like other mirrorless cameras, it has the advantage of being able to shoot silently, using an electronic shutter instead of a mechanical one, which makes it an exciting alternative in nature photography.
It also boasts an updated Fast Hybrid AF System, which uses a combination of 425 contrast-detection areas and 693 phase-detection points resulting in quicker attainment of focus in various lighting conditions and effective maintenance of focus subjects.
The A7 III camera can also maintain autofocus on a person’s eyes during a portrait session in continuous autofocus mode. It also has a folding and touches LCD screen, which only selects focus points although its touch functionality.
This camera has an integrated OLED viewfinder, similar to the A7 II model, having an excellent resolution and brightness, which practically makes you forget that you are looking at a screen.
Other than speed and AF, other improvements to processing enable it to achieve higher image clarity and minimize noise all through the sensitivity range. It is armed with an ISO range from 100-51200, further expanding to 50-204800.
The A7 III has gained quite a bit of weight compared to the Alpha family’s latest model, but for a full-frame camera, it’s still pretty light. Weighing just 650 grams (1.43 pounds), it is considerably lighter than the 750 gram Nikon D750 DSLR.
The camera body possesses a nice weight and is ideal for taking pictures and even better for videos. The increased weight manages to help with the stability of the camera.
The camera also has enhanced video recording capabilities that lead to improved quality and adequate recording of UHD 4K video using the full-frame sensor’s full width, minimizing moiré and aliasing.
Furthermore, the a7 III uses 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE sensor-shift image stabilization, which reduces the camera shake by up to 5 stops.
The A7 III can also be classified as one of the best-performing full-frame cameras in low-light environments, easily outperforming rivals such as the Nikon D750. This is all thanks to Sony’s 24.2 megapixels rear-illuminated (BSI) sensor with a dual-gain design.
The camera effectively increases the amount of light present to the sensor beyond 640 ISO, reducing noise and preserving detail in low-light scenes.
Additionally, it does not only have updates for the imaging system but has gone beyond that. The a7 III also has its body design revised to incorporate an LCD rear 3.0″ 922k-dot touchscreen, with a tilting design that is excellent at supporting shooting from all angles, even the extremes ones.
The video obtained by the A7 III turns out to be very sharp, with a shallow depth of field, which turns out to be ideal for creating a cinematographic appearance. It also has the possibility that you can shoot in 1080p quality, up to 120 fps with the full sensor.
This turns out to be quite a delightful combination since the shallow depth of field obtained with slow motion can produce some artistic effects.
However, some cameras, such as the Panasonic GH5, can shoot up to 192 fps, albeit with a smaller sensor.
It also features a 2.36m-dot Tru-Finder OLED EVF, which provides bright and clear eye-level monitoring.
The camera has a wider grip, which allows for more comfortable handling while leaving more room for the battery. The larger battery offers 2.2 times the endurance of previous models, easily coming to last for a full day of continuous shooting.
It also incorporates dual SD memory card slots and a bigger NP-FZ100 battery, which allows it to achieve up to 710 shots per charge, providing it greater shooting flexibility.
Dual card slots hide behind a latched door, of which one of the slots supports only higher-speed UHS-II class cards, which, while somewhat awkward for some, is a great touch for most. In addition to that, the movie recording button is located in a more sensitive place.
Moreover, the camera is designed in such a rigid way that it can be used even in trying conditions. The weather-sealing makes it dust- and moisture-resistant, and the magnesium-alloy chassis makes it tough.
Like the Sony A9 and A7R III, when the rear display is opened to shoot from low angles, the viewfinder’s eye sensor is disabled, thus preventing accidental shooting from occurring.
Summing it up, the α7 III is packed with innovative features that provide it with ease of operation, high-speed response, durability, and reliability to fulfill your various shooting needs.

It is indeed a perfection for all and sundry and provides you with everything you need. Everything is on point, from high-speed performance, amazing imaging capability to an outstanding and compact body design.
The Sony A7 III may not be the perfect camera for action and sports (which the Sony A9 is for), nor for reporting, nature, or study (where the A7R III dominates). Even so, this camera is more than Capable in a vast majority of situations (including use as a camcorder).
All this is because the Sony A7 III combines speed, performance, image quality, and an attractive price (we repeat, from a professional point of view). Compared to others, this camera can offer you a great quality of image at a low cost.
The Sony α7 III gives you the power to be precise and flexible at the same time and lets you capture once-in-a-lifetime moments in the exact manner you want.
For this reason, we can be sure that it will offer many satisfactions (in addition to making things difficult for other manufacturers) to users who are looking for a versatile model. This is ideal for those who want a resolution of 42 megapixels or a burst of 20 photos per second.
