The addition to Tamron’s professional-quality camera lens range is an 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC lens. This new camera lens is the successor to AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF] MACRO model A14. This predecessor model remained one of the best-selling products of Tamron when it was introduced in the market ten years ago before this new lens. Modern optical solutions are presented in new 18-200mm VC via mechanical design and efforts to achieve eminent lens performance and great photographic results.

Long-term experience in the market and expertise in camera lens manufacturing helped Tamron great time deliver products with classic features and modern features such as vibration compensation, auto-drive module, double zoom lens, etc.

A lot of photographic opportunities and optimal lens experience is what Tamron intends to deliver through its brand new lens.

This new lens has many significant improvements if we compare it to its predecessors. Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC can capture focal lengths from 18mm to 200mm.

Multi-functionality

You don’t have to carry multiple ranges of the lens with you, and that’s when this lens with this range of focal lengths coverage and super zoom comes in handy.

This Tamron 18 200mm lens only weighs 400g or 14.1 oz. This makes it the lightest weight lens in its category. Its advanced mechanical design makes it easy to use, adds incredible balance and a comfortable feel even when attached with a simple DSLR camera.

An autofocus drive module is induced in this lens with optimal DC motor-gear train integration making autofocus faster, quieter, and more precise. This feature enhanced the accuracy of capturing fast-moving objects.

VC (Vibration Compensation) is another remarkable feature of this lens. Vibration compensation is for sharp handheld shooting where other lens needs a tripod. Night shots and telephotos are usually prone to image shaking or bad results due to camera shake, but the VC feature keeps the image precise and sharp. VC will help you to achieve a smooth viewfinder image.

Useful zoom lock

Zoom lock attribute helps to avoid undesired lens extension. A low dispersion element is also there in this 18-200mm VC lens for more exceptional image sharpness and correction of any chromatic aberration.

Moisture is always an enemy for gadgets like a lens, but don’t worry about it anymore. Moisture resistance construction is there in this lens for shooting outdoors. It helps to protect the camera lens from inclement weather. There’s a slight drawback to this feature. Tamron 18 200mm is preserved only in case of light rain. Moisture resistance construction won’t protect your lens in case of heavy rain.

Another attribute of this lens is the tremendous round blurring effect keeping the image in the circular diaphragm. It provides naturally rounded shapes adding up in the beauty of photographs. It also delivers a perfectly round shape even when an image is captured at two stops down from its maximum aperture. It blurs sources of light into perfect round shapes providing desirable and beautiful bokeh.
