All jobs require a certain set of skills. Unfortunately, some jobs tie you to a specific location more than others — forcing you to work in one place or area without many prospects in the rest of the world.  Thankfully, photography is not one of those professions. With the right photography skills, you can build a photography business pretty much anywhere in the world and capture the beauty of that country. In fact, it’s one of the most fun jobs you can have as a digital nomad. Let’s dive into building a photography business in a new country, then!

Can You Work Anywhere As a Photographer?

Plenty of professional photographers work worldwide, but many are also stationed in several different countries. From Turkey to New Zealand, there’s work for travel photographers anywhere.

However, there’s a difference between being a traveling photographer and being stationed somewhere for a while. You don’t have to move to a new country and stay there all your life, of course.

But, as a photographer, there’s something special about spending a couple of years in a new place and working there. In the process, you get to know the local culture and the general aesthetic of the country — which can be quite rewarding for photographers.

So, yes, it’s quite possible to start your business in a new country from scratch. And here’s some advice on how to do just that.
