This battery grip is a must-have as it brings controls for essential functions right at your fingertips and eliminates the need for the contorted balancing. The only drawback is that before using, the firmware of the camera needs to be updated. But with such a low price it is not a big deal.

MEIKE MK-A9

I have been using it for a couple of months, and I feel this is the most comfortable Pro battery grip that I have ever used. The best thing about it is that it is compatible with Sony’s flagship A9 camera and A7 III and A7R III cameras.

MEIKE MK-A9

This MEIKE MK-A9 is for all those shooters who wish to not only double the battery life of their cameras but, at the same time, want to improve the ergonomics. It gives you a larger grip and additional controls that replicate those available on the camera body, making capturing images in vertical orientation much more comfortable.

It also offers a remote control, which allows the triggering of the camera’s shutter, setting an interval timer, and managing focus from about 100 meters away. It also has an excellent build quality as it is made from sturdy plastic simulated with PU leather material at key grip locations. It is also easy to carry as it weighs only 255g. It requires two NP-FZ100 batteries, and the battery tray, which houses them, also feels durable.

However, the release catch is fragile, which is a drawback. It includes a tripod mounting socket on the base and an attachment point for a neck or wrist strap. To attach the grip to the camera body, all you have to do is remove the battery door, which is very easy due to the small release catch on the door’s inside.

Just pulling it back will make the door pop, and you don’t even have to worry about losing the battery door like all high-end grips. It allows users to store them inside of the grips column safely.
