The Sony Alpha A7 has it all. It is an amalgamation of features that make it an excellent camera. The 24 megapixels full-frame CMOS, together with the Hybrid AF system, which has an on-chip phase detection, provides you with phenomenal performance and quality.

The Alpha a7 by Sony is the first Mirrorless Digital Camera to incorporate a full-frame Exmor CMOS sensor into an E-mount body, therefore, providing you with a compact and lightweight camera with the ability to gather light and capture detail-rich images.

It is not only small but also versatile as it has an interchangeable lens camera system.

It boasts a 24.3MP sensor, which enables it to produce high-resolution images. It also features an ISO sensitivity range of 100-25600 which allows low light effectiveness.

It is equipped with the Bionz X image processor, which results in faster processing and improved operation speeds. The front-end large-scale integration and five fps burst shooting have led to improvements in the early stages of image processing, thus producing more vibrant tones and more details.

The 14-bit RAW output is there to preserve the details delivered by the sensor. There is also an inclusion of an AF algorithm that results in rapid autofocusing speeds.

Together with the new sensor, it sports an enhanced Hybrid Autofocus system, which provides a combination of 117-point, phase-detection, and a 25-point contrast-detection resulting in higher speed and accuracy.

It also includes flexible spot focus areas along with multipoint, zone, and center-weighted focusing, which contributes to its functionality. The manual focus assist can also be optimized for both APS-C-format and full-frame shooting zones.

Additionally, it also comprises of Eye AF Control, which results in highly precise eye-detection.

Sony a7 can record Full HD 1080 video with 24p/60i/60p frame rates, which are supported by both MP4 and AVCHD codecs. Uncompressed video can also be filmed off-camera through an HDMI connection.

It has built-in as well as external stereo recording. The wireless and HDMI output allows images to be viewed on ultra HD 4K television.

It also sports a 3.0″ tilting LCD screen, which has a resolution of 921.6k-dot and also includes WhiteMagic technology, which gives it enhanced visibility in bright light.

Furthermore, there is a 2.4M OLED high-contrast electronic viewfinder which features 100% coverage, 3-lens optical system, and a wide viewing angle.

It has in-built NFC and Wi-Fi capability, which enables efficient wireless transfer of images and also enables provides remote shutter control via tablets and smartphones.

There is also an option for remote control through a USB connection, which offers control over still photo adjustment control and video capture.

It also comprises of a Quick Navi Pro interface system that displays all camera adjustments on the screen, allowing for rapid setting changes when required.

I don’t think any camera can beat Sony a7 regarding its price and size. It is a fantastic step towards the next generation as it markets for the first time a compact system camera along with a full-frame sensor.

And the best thing is that when you compare it with the prices of other full-frame cameras on the market, it gives you a higher value for money. You won’t find any other full-frame camera with interchangeable-lens which will be this light and portable.

Neither will you find 24.3 MP rich, detailed resolution with a true-to-life OLED viewfinder along with an expandable shoe system and Wi-Fi sharing.
