This Samyang 7.5mm f/3.5 UMC lens is the newest model in this series and the first of the Samyang Fisheye Lens, specially designed for the Micro Four Thirds Mounts.

It is not only compact, but it also has superior optics and is fully compatible with any micro four-thirds camera system. It provides a 180º angle of view and is ideal for capturing panoramic vistas. It is also excellent for stitching together full 360º panoramas, thus making it perfect for exploring.

This Samyang Fisheye Lens is for all those creative photographers out there who wish to experiment. Users can use wide-angle lenses through distortion and exaggeration of standard perspectives and experiment with its considerable depth of field.

This makes it an excellent lens for fun portraits and close-ups. It also has an in-built petal-shaped lens hood that only protects the glass and makes sure that your photographs remain free of glare and flare.

Moreover, this lens for micro four-thirds cameras is very user-friendly as it is easy to use and carry around. It is also very affordable, making it an excellent option for MFT users who wish to explore the photography universe from a fisheye perspective within a budget.

Let us look at the features of this lens in detail to know what makes it so surprising and noteworthy!

Samyang 7.5mm – product overview:

From its build to diminutive size and IQ, everything is perfect. It has top-notch quality, and the surface is not at all prone to scratches. The metal base is also really sturdy and robust and has a heft to it to add stability.

The plastic used to manufacture it is also quite robust, so basically, no fault can be found in the exterior build. Another noteworthy thing is that the aperture ring can turn clockwise from wide open to stoop down.

Moreover, as there is so much DOF, users will find themselves shooting at F22 instead of 3.5 many times because it is excellent! It is a big deal that in such a small size and such low cost, you get a smooth focus and well-built aperture ring, which is a pleasure to use.

Secondly, this lens can also take photos at ISO 100 with a shallow light situation. It is only 3.5 aperture, but with the wide opening, users can take pictures without needing extra support even at a slow shutter speed than 1:2, five, and that too without any hassle.

Great manual focus

The manual focus can also be handled without any issue. So if users are taking landscape images, it is enough to keep it at infinity to get perfect results.

The optical quality is also exceptional. It is sharp in the center, and users will be taken back by its extreme sharpness. The mid-area isn’t much fall, either. There is some distortion at the corners, but it looks beautiful as it gives a special effect.

Few other things, you can easily de-fish this lens as well and capture some excellent 14mm equivalent results with decent corners too. It is also better in terms of contrast and color. It is snappy and smooth, which gives it outstanding sharpness and overall excellent results.

Just mind your knuckles and take your time during composition, and it will definitely wow you.

Samyang Fisheye lens

Summing it up, Samyang 7.5mm is an exceptional lens that comes with a price tag which only a fool will resist. Mark my words; this is the lens that will take some of your favorite shots as it did mine, and you will not regret this purchase.

It is a wise investment. Its size may be crazy small, but compared to other fisheye lenses I have tried, it has the most features and is also a heck of a lot of fun to use.
