When traveling or simply shooting around, a good tripod will make the difference. Holding your digital camera steady will result in more clear pictures with higher quality details.
Before deciding on the type of tripod to use, the first thing you should do is get an idea of how you plan to use it and where. For example, if you need to take pictures at ground level, in which case, the best option to use would be a tripod that can invert the center axis.
On the other side, if you need to go to the mountains, which will change the weather conditions and difficult soils, the ideal option would be a large and heavy tripod with a hook for hanging weight and adaptable legs to rough terrain.
Which tripod type to choose?
It does matter a lot before deciding which type of tripod is best for you to think about how you’ll use it and where. For example, you may need to take pictures close to the ground level, in which case a tripod with the center axis inverted function will be handy. Or you know you’ll be shooting in the mountains in severe weather conditions, in which case you will need a much stronger one with a weight hanging hook and legs adaptable to uneven terrain.
Being able to buy a tripod with all these features included would be the favorite idea of many, but the price is something that not everyone can afford. Until now, Zomei has made a tripod for camera enthusiasts, which is excellent for dealing with all kinds of weather thanks to its carbon fiber body.
If you can afford it, you better buy one with all these features included, so you’ll never be surprised by unexpected situations in your adventure. It may cost more, but it will do the best job for a long time.
This is why, for today’s review, I chose a heavy-duty professional tripod that can face the most difficult situations and serve as a trusted companion in time.

Zomei Z818C tripod overview
Zomei Z818C is a professional tripod made of carbon fiber (using eight layers of different angles carbon fiber staggered laminated). It is super lightweight and compact, which allows you to carry it anywhere easily, is high temperature, and water-resistant.
Zomei Z818C tripod is the favorite companion for photographers who prefer to travel and take pictures of the environment that surround them. The confidence to affirm this is because the legs and the central column’s tubes are made of carbon fiber.
This allows it to resist the environment and weather conditions while obtaining durability without becoming a piece of heavy equipment. The Z818C tripod comes equipped with a camera base and does not reach 2 kilograms in weight. So it remains a light tripod and easy to handle, even capable of carrying it in the backpack if desired.
From the tripod legs to the entire central axis, every part of this tripod represents quality. The legs are robust and have a wheel locking system to allow them to be extended, reaching a maximum height of 165cm (174cm with the additional column).
The panoramic panning dial allows you to set up precision shots to capture the scenic beauty, and with the two built-in bubble levels, you can be sure that you’re on target.
Exceptional grip to the ground
At the bottom of the legs, there are elastic tips that serve as a support base for them, in addition to which they can be changed with the metal bases, thus providing a more exceptional grip on the ground.
There is a soft neoprene layer to give comfort when lifting or to move the tripod on top of them. The legs also have a hook adjustment system to configure the opening angle of the legs.
The Zomei Z818C has a grappling hook, located below the vertical column, allowing hanging from it, the travel bag, or a weight, thus allowing more excellent stability at times of high winds.
The tripod leg can be inverted 180° and folded to 18″ length, making the whole kit easier to fit into your bag.
The panoramic dial of the tripod will allow you to configure and take precise way; all the scenic beauty of the environment. Considering that you have two built-in bubble levels for balance at your disposal, you can be confident that your photos will always be aligned.
The tripod allows the function of becoming a monopod, if you think necessary, by joining the external column together with one of the tripod legs (which can also be separated).
The ball head of the tripod, which has a clip lock (therefore securing your camera and thus preventing accidental falls), is more significant than a regular basis. With a thickness of 38mm, it is strong enough to support up to 15 kg.
The tripod can be converted into a monopod if needed.
The tripod has an additional short vertical column, which, by equipping the product’s central column, achieves a maximum height of about 174.5 cm.
The central column can be reversed so that the camera is below the tripod legs, thus achieving the power to take macro photographs or images at ground level and expand the column so that it is closer to the ground.
The ball head (with secured clip, double securing your camera from accidental dropping) is more prominent than normal. With the thickness of the ball headwall about 5 mm, it is more steady and supports up to 15 kg.
The adjustment ball at the base of the tripod allows a fluid panoramic movement, adjusting the turn rhythm of the turn employing a safety bolt, which is shown to us marked with bright and comfortable to read signs. This is located next to it.
Easy to operate
It is effortless to operate. In addition to that, if everything is appropriately secured, it can perform the turns efficiently with all the camera’s weight and other accessories on it.
With the additional short center column, it goes to maximum height up to 174.5 cm; also, you can revert the center column for macro or ground-level pictures. It can ideally reach near the ground.
The Zomei Z818C tripod also has a quick-release system. It allows you to remove a part of the tripod base, allowing it to be adjusted externally to the camera, and then simply adjusting everything together with the tripod, using a simple screwing.
The travel bag in which our Zomei Z818C tripod comes shows that it is durable and resistant, not only in the same material but also in its zipper, which is presented with reliable and sustainable materials.
The stability hook is handy, especially in windy weather. Hang some weight in there for more excellent stability.
