IFootage accessories are a very dandy addition in the world of photography and videography, and so is the iFootage Gazelle TA7.
Most of their products fall in the category of mid-priced products but surprisingly offer numerous high-end products, especially in the category of tripods and monopods.
61” TA7 Aluminum tripod is one of the premium products offered by IFootage. It is part of the Gazelle series tripod with the brand-new features of Fastbowl and Uprise.
Ease of use, durability, perfect ergonomics, versatility, and value of money are the primary highlights of IFootage tripod TA7. It is a blend of carbon fiber, aluminum, and stainless steel, giving it all the strength for outdoors and making sure that it lasts for years.
TA7 can go from 7 inches to 61 inches in a matter of seconds. From landscape photography to action photography, low angle photography to professional videography, this tripod comes in handy.
IFootage introduced their brand-new technology of quick-release system/rapid release ball mount via this tripod. This technology makes attaching/detaching cameras with tripods even quicker than the Arca-Swiss quick release plate. Another new feature is Dual purpose feet.
Though many brands are offering removable rubber feet, barely anyone other brand is offering this feature. With Dual rubber and spike feet, you can perfectly tackle any difficult shooting situations. <-Affiliate Link 🙂
With these, there are numerous other features to talk about. In this IFootage tripod review, we will discuss key features and their performance.
Key Features of iFootage Gazelle TA7:
Built
IFootage TA7 falls in the category of Aluminum tripods. With Aluminum, there is also some carbon fiber and Stainless Steel; all these materials are known for their strength and durability.
Nowadays, people tend to go for carbon fiber tripods more. It is mainly because those tripods are lightweight, but there is still no replacement of features offered by Aluminum built. Aluminum tripods are slightly heavy, which is a kind of aid in increasing the tripod’s stability level.
The increased weight of aluminum tripods provides them with more steadiness, especially in windy conditions than the carbon fiber one. The lightweight of carbon fiber tripods sometimes makes it difficult for a tripod to stand still in breezy conditions.
All screws and bolts are made up of stainless steel. The addition of a little carbon fiber n the built prevents the body of TA7 from any corrosion and damages.
Overall the built is smooth and nice, with full resistance against weather damages and partial resistance against dents.
The working temperature of a tripod is -30 degrees centigrade to 50 degrees.
Overall, the color of the tripod is metallic black with a little touch of red.
Height
IFootage tripod TA7 can go from 7 inches to 61 inches. Many other competitors offer a maximum height of 61 inches or more, but no one offers a minimum height as low as 7 inches.

The tripod’s working height is perfect for low-angle photography, wildlife photography, landscape shooting, wide-angle shooting, and a lot more. In short, the IFootage tripod can single-handedly cover all your needs related to a tripod.
Weight
Though it has aluminum built, still, it is not so difficult to carry around TA7 outdoors. It weighs only 2.33 kilograms, including the weight of the ball-head.
Load Bearing Capacity
IFootage tripod offers the maximum load limit of 15.4 lbs. or 7 kilograms—excellent maximum size to maximum weight ratio.
Usually, the weight of a DSLR is in-between 2 pounds to 6.5 pounds. 7 kilograms of weight load is great, keeping in mind the weight of a DSLR. You can also use heavy lenses and entry-level DSLR with TA7.
Portability
The portability of the tripod is one of the main concerns of photographers. Carrying a tripod doesn’t seem like a big deal, but sometimes it gets annoying when you have to carry it around all day. With durability, engineers of IFootage also ensured the portability of TA7.
The folded height of the tripod is only 26.3 inches. With this height, as aforementioned, it only weighs 2.33 kg, which is much lesser than the usual weight of aluminum tripods in this category of height range.
For more ease, 28 inches carrying shoulder bag is also sent by the manufacturer. Tripod fits perfectly in the bag. The bag also provides additional protection and easy keeping.
Legs
The three legs of the tripod are made with a mix of aluminum and carbon fiber. Each leg diameter is 1.2 inches with a tube diameter of 30.22. Legs are partially resistant to dents.
Ergonomics are made sure in the overall design of the tripod. Legs can be locked in a position easily. There is no need for a palm pinch or twisting the lock multiple times to secure the legs’ position. Besides, it can also be deployed using just one hand.
For leg locking and securing the cameras, TA7 has an easy buckle design.
It also features a removable central column.
Three-stage leg locking system
Each leg of leg comes with the three automated leg locking angles of 22° 55° and 77°. This automated quick telescopic design is operated at the top of the tripod.
There is no need to open, close, and tighten locks; legs can be locked at these positions with one-hand operation. Using these angles, enter the world of endless artistic possibilities.

Feet
Legs of IFootage tripod TA7 come with dual-purpose rubber and spike feet. These feet can easily be removed and replaced. In some cases, rubber ends work best to provide stability, and in others, spike one. IFootage added both in their Gazelle series tripod so the users can have the best stability in all situations.
Bonus tip: though you can use the tripod without any feet, we highly recommend never use the tripod with feet removed. The legs of the tripod are hollow from inside; dust and mud can easily reach inside. It can damage your tripod and reduce its life.
Ball Head
A 75mm ball head sits right at the top of the head, made of aluminum.
With this and its sibling tripods of the Gazelle series, IFootage launched the feature of Fastbowl. This patent feature applies to both camera removal and ball head removal. Just a simple turn and push-button operation, and you can remove the ball head and camera from the tripod’s body.
Most of the cameras use the quick-release Arca Swiss system with a ball head. That system is considered as speeding up the attaching/detaching time of devices with the tripod. But the system of Fastbowl even reduced that time further. No need at all to turning the ball head repeatedly to secure it in the position.
To remove the ball head, rotate once, pull down the ball head, and remove.
It is also compatible with some other tripod bodies.
Screw
IFootage tripod features the 3/8 inches screw made up of Stainless Steel. You can attach any ball head with the tripod body with this size of screw size. Also, you can use it with any tripod, monopod, or central column with a 3/8” screw.
Accessories
Multiple accessories and adjustment tools are sent by the manufacturer free of any cost.
Firstly, there are leg adjustment tools to set up the tripod. Secondly, a 28 inches bag to store and carry around the tripod. It has a shoulder strap with adjustable length.
There are many smaller accessories, such as a Ball head quick release handle, Footpad and spike, Buckle and buckle housing.
Lastly, there is a user manual in the package.

Some manufacturers in the market offer tripods as an alternative to A7 with some additional features/accessories in the same price range.
But honestly, in my opinion, IFootage tripod is neither overpriced nor underpriced for the aspects it is offering. Buying a good tripod once is a better option than buying cheap tripods over and over again. Highly recommended, <-Affiliate Link 🙂 especially for outdoors and videography.
