Hubsan is known for its range of easily affordable drones with many functions and features. Zino series from Hubsan is quite popular among drone users. One of the aircraft from this series is Hubsan Zino GPS FPV. This drone comes up with ultra HD 4K camera, three-axis gimbal, 1km transmission distance, image tracking, panorama photography mode, and a lot more.

Hubsan Zino GPS FPV Review:

There are numerous functions in this drone to talk about. From design to performance, here are some details about it:

Design

Zino GPS FPV is a solidly built aircraft just like other Zino drones. The exterior is made of plastic. The props on the body of the drone are foldable, making drones more compact and easy to carry around.

Zino FPV has four bright LED lights under each arm. There are brushless motors inside a drone, which makes this aircraft a better performer and makes it easy for it to carry the massive battery. The drone weighs about 700 grams, and the dimension of its body is 27.8 x 24.2 x 11.7 cm.

4K camera

The camera is what most drone users’ look forward to now a day. Zino FPV comes with a built-in ultra-high definition camera with a resolution of 3840×2160 at 30FPS, but you can also go for 1080p in 60 FPS. The maximum bit rate of this FPV aircraft is 60 Mbps with an aperture of f2.24.

There are Image Chip Ambarella A12S and a sturdy 1/3 inch Sony sensor to deliver the maximum output. This camera sits on a very well stabilized three-axis gimbal.

Battery

There is lithium polymer battery inside the drone, which gives it 23 minutes of flight time in ideal conditions. In case of obstacles or resistance in the flying path or windy conditions, the flying time is reduced to 18-19 minutes.

Flying performance:

During ideal conditions, this quadcopter shows incredible performance. With 23 minutes of flight time, the flying range of the drone is 1000 meters, but the same as battery life, the flight range is lowered with obstacles in the way of drone. It can fly with a speed of 28 kilometers per hour.

The drone is capable of flying to the height of 500 meters maximum, but the user is capable of setting maximum flying height through the app. One good thing about flying this drone is the thing that it can operate at the height of as low as 20 to 15 meters. This makes it a great choice to use for indoor recordings.

A thing which can cause trouble for users during flight; this aircraft lacks optical flow stabilization. Hubsan Zino GPS FPV requires sensors for obstacle detection. There is a lack of stability in flight because of this drawback. An obstacle flow camera under the body of the drone can eliminate this problem.

GPS and connectivity

Like other Zino drones, this drone is also equipped with a dual satellite positioning system i.e., GPS + GLONASS. No doubt, this makes the drone to be an efficient and compelling performer, but for some users, there are specific issues with GPS connectivity and GPS accuracy can be a bit wrong. Hubsan has claimed that they changed and updated their software a lot, and new users will not face these issues anymore.

Aerial photography:

You can capture beautiful 360-degree panorama shots and several others, too, with this drone. The command for these modes is given through the smartphone using the X-Hubsan app. For panorama shots, you just have to input commands for panorama shooting, and drone starts rotating in a 180-degree manner while capturing images. Then it automatically combines all these combined images to deliver you 4k panorama shot to help you to achieve peak photography experience.

Another mode for relaxed photography is the waypoint mode in which you select the path for drone and drone will follow the commanded way automatically.

Line photography mode is the same as waypoint photography, but while following the command of this mode, the drone can only fly in a straight line or path.

In orbit mode, the drone flies around the target and captures it.

Image tracking

There is an option of image tracking or follow me inside the drone. One has to command the drone about image tracking and select the target. After that, the drone will follow the target and record the target using the built-in image identification system.

Safety of drone

To ensure the safety of drones, there are some automated functions inside the drone.

When there is a signal loss, instead of stopping at the location, it starts coming back to the flying point. If signals are strong again or connectivity establishes again, the drone stops coming back home and waits for the flyer of the drone to take back its control.

When the battery of the drone gets low, it starts coming back home the same as the signal loss case. The limit of battery at which drone starts coming back home is 20 percent. The 20 percent limit can be changed on the X-Hubsan app. This function can be deactivated.

Using a mobile app, the maximum height for a drone can also be set.

Beginners’ mode

If you are a beginner with drones, this drone can be a treat for you. There is a beginner mode inside the drone. Using this mode, the user doesn’t have to put much input into the flying drone. If you are an inexperienced drone user and want an easy to handle drone at a reasonable price, you should consider buying this drone.

For the price range of this camera, we are sure you cannot find any better performer than Hubsan Zino GPS FPV. You can take 4K ultra-high-definition professional-level photographs without necessarily splashing out a massive sum of money or breaking your bank.
