Godox V860II-C TTL is a very well-made independent flash to give photographers perfect lightning in every shoot. This Chinese company specializes in flashlights, is popular for its affordable but high-quality flashlights, and coming up with new engineering for their products every once in a while.

Godox 4V86011-C TTL flash with 2.4G wireless X system has many updates and new features compared to its predecessor Godox Ving 860.

V860II-C is much faster compared to its competitors – all thanks to the powerful Lithium-ion battery.

It has an excellent build even for outdoor use, equipped with a USB port for firmware upgrades, offers both TTL auto flash and manual flash exposure control, compatible with all EOS Canon cameras, flashes coverage range from 20mm to 200mm, 2.4G wireless X system, fully supported TTL functions, flash exposure lock, manual focus assist, rear-curtain sync, etc.

Key Features of V860II-C:

Design and Built

With new features, V860II-C also comes with the slightest welcoming changes in appearance compared to the predecessor. It has perfect ergonomics to ease use to photographers, no matter what the shooting circumstances are.

The build is completely plastic. The high quality makes the flash weigh less and easier to carry around. Personally, I think no other brand is offering the built of this quality in this price range. The physical dimension of V860II-C is 9.4 x 8.2 x 3.1 inches, whereas it weighs 540 grams only (without the lithium-ion battery, weight is 430 grams).

Head and adjustable angles

The head of the flash is a solid round structure that makes sure even and balanced light output. It has a built-in magnetic ring system to make it super-easy to attach accessories such as filters to V860II-C. In case of not fitting the accessories properly, you can face the issue of a light leak. Some free accessories for the flash are sent with the package by the manufacturer.

The head can be tilted both horizontally and vertically from an angle of 90 degrees. Horizontally, it can go from 0° to 270° whereas, vertically, it can easily go from -7 to 90°.

Larger LCD Screen

Compared to the last generation, this flash for Canon has a slightly bigger screen. All operations and settings are displayed on this screen. There are multiple easy to use the button to navigate the settings below the screen, turn on/off, and change the modes of flash.

It fully supports TTL functions

Godox V806II-C supports all TTL (Through the Lens Metering) functions for every EOS camera. It is very efficient at sensing the distance between the camera and user and automatically adjusting the flash intensity output according to it.

It uses the infrared flash bursts before flashing the fire to make sure well-illuminated and balanced results. For indoors and studio shootings, this really comes in handy.

There are two exposure controls offered: E TTLII auto flash and annual flash.

Before buying this flashlight, keep in mind that V860II-C applies to Canon cameras and is compatible with E-TTL autoflash only. If you own a Nikon DSLR camera, V860-IIN (compatible with i-TTL flash), and in the case of a Sony DSLR camera, V860IIS (compatible with TTL) are for you, respectively.

High-Speed Sync

If your work involves using high shutter speed, wider apertures, or bright backgrounds, or you are overall looking for perfect exposure from your flashlight, V860-IIC is for you. Its High-Speed Sync is a brilliant 1/8000 s with a maximum frequency is 199 Hz, and the maximum flash is 100 times – the best in its category.

Rear Curtain Sync, Front Curtain Sync, Second Curtain Sync, Multi-flash, Flash Exposure Compensation features are also included. These can be used to add an artistic touch to your images.

Flash Performance

The flash coverage is 20 to 200mm with a flash duration of 1/300 to 1/20000 second. As it supports the TTL, the flash automatically adjusts the exposure depending upon the shooting circumstances if the setting is on E TTLII auto flash.

If you want to set the subject and background exposure manually, you can easily turn it off in settings. It also provides the multi-flash up to 100 times at the frequency of 199Hz.

The TTL metering, auto exposure settings, and flash performance is completely reliable.

2.4G Wireless X system

Built-in 2.4GHz wireless X transmission system now offers more transmission distance and even more balanced output. It comes with a radio remote to control the features of this radio transmission for a distance of up to 100 meters.

Just use the radio remote and operate the camera flash of your Canon’s DSLR, studio flash, and camera shutter.

Signal strength is not affected by the hurdles, such as walls between the device and remote controller.

Master and Slave Flash

It comes with a master and slave flash feature that works perfectly with the Canon DSLRs wireless lighting system for perfect synchronization. One unit acts as a master and controls the other unit’s flash trigger acting as a slave.

Lithium-ion Battery

Unlike the previous generations, V860II-C uses the 11.1V/2000mAh Li-ion polymer battery as a power source. It overall changed performance and output.

Recycling time is reduced (now less than 1.5 seconds), which increases the battery to last even longer, and flash output is even brighter. Under the ideal circumstances and full charge, you can get almost 650 flashes approximately.

Godox V860II-C battery

In both slave and master flash, the flash has a built-in mechanism for power saving. After 60 minutes of idle operation in slave mode and 1.5 minutes in master flash mode, it automatically turns off.

This flash might cost a few extra bucks compared to the flashes with AA batteries, but you are saving the cost in reality. It cuts off all the extra dollars you have to spend on purchasing AA batteries all the time.

To recharge the battery, a power cord and charging box are sent with the package.

Update Firmware Easily

To make firmware updates very convenient, there is a USB Port/Type C Port/Sync Port at the body’s right side.
