Deerc D50 drone with 2k UHD camera is the latest drone in the top-rated D series from Deerc.

This new model of the D series -famous for its meager price, has many brand-new features that people usually expect from high-end and expensive drones.

Sleek and durable design, ultra-high-definition camera, multiple flying and control modes, and much more are discussed in this drone. Here are all the details of its core features and built.

Deerc D50 drone with 2k UHD camera Review:

Made with ABS plastic and physical dimensions of 12.4 inches x 12.4 inches x 4.2 inches, Deerc D50 looks like a very well-crafted drone.

The ABS plastic built gives the body a smooth finish and extra durability despite weighing 178 grams only.

You won’t have to go through the FAA registration process (as per the aviation rules in many countries, including the USA, Australia, and Canada, it is mandatory to register the drone before flying if its weight is 250 grams more).

For the safety of the camera and smooth flight, Deerc D50 comes with a landing pad. It is a good feature, but the drone isn’t foldable, even partially. Inside the drone, powerful brushed motors are used, unlike the regular motors in low-priced drones.

These motors are known to help the craft fly as fast as possible, making flight smooth and keeping operations as silent as possible. The motors are equipped with blue and red LED lights around their motors’ arms, just like the camera’s front and back. These lights come in handy in low-light flights.

The flight is controlled via a remote controller, which runs on the 2.4GHz frequency.

Camera and its performance

Just below the head of the camera, a 2k Ultra High Definition camera is attached. The footage quality is surprisingly good, keeping in mind that many drones do not offer a camera in this price range. The total resolution is 2048 x 1152p with first-person view (FPV) live video sharing up to 720p.

The camera lens has a wide field of view of 120 degrees, vertically adjustable from zero degrees to 90 degrees. When combined with multiple flying modes, even beginners can get artistic results from this camera.

One con associated with the D50, which also affects the camera performance, is that it doesn’t support SD card storage. Footages are directly stored in the phone storage. In case your phone storage or battery is low or it has trouble connecting with a drone, Deerc D50 is nothing more than a toy.

Flight performance

Deerc D50 can be controlled as far as 100 meters. As these categories’ drones are mostly designed for beginners, ease of use is specially offered via such quadcopters.

D50 is equipped with multiple automated flying modes, which makes flying a fun experience.

Flight timings and battery

3.7V 1500mah lithium polymer battery powers the flying operations in this drone. Two batteries are included in the battery.

Each battery offers only 12 minutes of flying time in ideal circumstances. In the case of 3D flips, using the 4-speed mode, and gravity center, et cetera, this flying time is even lower. Each battery requires 1.5 hours of charging to offer an average of 8-10 minutes of flying, which isn’t very impressive.

Smart flying modes/features:

Some amazing flight modes offered by this drone are:

One key takeoff/landing: click a single button on the controller, and Deerc D50 will start to fly or land if already flying. No more complex manual controls!

The altitude hold: Altitude hold ensures the smoothest footages and flying experience by keeping the drone at the altitude it is flying. In case of windy situations, his feature is beneficial.

Headless mode: with this mode, the drone flies only in the orientation in which it took off instead of flying in the position relative to its head. Get free from the constant need to put a drone in orientation via the controller.

4-speed mode functions: 4 speeds from low speed to higher speed, making drone users friendly

360 degree flips: flip the Deerc D50 with one click during the flight to get the full Ariel view.

Waypoint fly: Draw the app’s path before the flight, and the drone will fly on the same path.

Voice control feature: use the drone without a controller using voice commands such as takeoff or landing

Emergency stop and low power alarm: the drone automatically starts ringing the alarm whenever the battery is about to die. It also stops fling further whenever it loses the signals to ensure that you do not lose your quadcopter.

Conclusion

A few cons, but these are nothing if you compare these with all this quadcopter has to offer.
